The LED Spectacular at Circa Towers DTLA
Steps away from the Crypto.com Arena, LA LIVE, and the LA Convention Center sits a skyscraper complex known as Circa LA. Consisting of two 35-story luxury apartment towers, a 2-acre rooftop amenities deck, and space for multiple high-end retail and dining establishments, the complex also features more than 18,000 square feet of state-of-the-art exterior LED video displays.
Around the Bend
Installed on the property's eight-story parking garage, the convex and concave design of the displays allows them to mirror the curvature of the architecture. The sprawling trio of displays measures 120' wide x 66' tall; 112' x 53'; and 85' x 53'. The displays feature a 10 mm pixel pitch and contain more than 17 million pixels in total.
The massive digital platform showcases out-of-home content managed by StandardVision, an LA-based architectural lighting design studio and digital media company.
Nike is a major advertising tenant for the LED spectacular at Circa.
SMD Packaging Technology
All LED screens in the project employ surface-mount device (SMD) pixel technology, where the LEDs in each pixel are packaged together, allowing for crisp, clear imagery and a widened viewing experience. SNA Displays continues to provide an industry-leading array of interior and exterior products offered with SMD packaging technology.
Project Partners
SNA Displays partnered with YESCO, a leading U.S. custom signage integrator, for fabrication and installation of all secondary steel structural components along with the installation and integration of the electronics for all digital assets.
A Brighter Future
In addition to the new LED displays, a series of color-changing architectural lighting features that run vertically along each tower was added to the development.
