Yaamava’ Hotel Tower and Poolside Display

SNA Displays manufactured and provided project coordination for several outdoor LED displays for the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel just outside of San Bernadino, California. The entertainment destination, which features gaming, dining, and live entertainment, added three custom hotel signs and an outdoor poolside bar display, all made from SNA Displays’  EMPIRE™ Exterior LED product.

D3 Inc. provided overall project management services for the poolside display while Western Audio Visual provided installation services. Dallas-based sign company YESCO installed the Y-shaped exterior signs.

The poolside digital display is mounted on a granite wall and features a 3.9 mm pixel pitch. At 9'10" tall and 18' wide (768 pixels by 1,408 pixels), the video display is nearly 180 square feet of digital canvas and contains more than one million total pixels.

The project also includes three custom-built, full-matrix LED channel letters designed to represent the hotel and resort’s brand. Two of the “Y”-shaped channel letters are 14 feet tall and mounted to Yaamava’s exterior building façade on either side of the main entrance. Each of the twin displays extend 16 feet wide at the top of the Y and contain 53,400 pixels.

The third, larger Y-shaped LED channel letter is 23 feet tall and mounted near the top of the building façade to stand out among the skyline. It spans 25 feet wide and consists of 129,000 pixels.

All three Yaamava'-branded channel letters include EMPIRE™ Exterior LED display technology and employ a 12 mm pixel pitch. Each was custom designed to fit within the sign enclosures fabricated and installed by YESCO. This involved close coordination between the SNA Displays and YESCO teams to ensure precision cut-outs. The displays also feature custom enclosures and front access to the LED panels via removable trim.

“We can make LED displays of any shapes and sizes, custom cut for any use,” said Mikell Senger, project manager for SNA Displays. “These LED signs will welcome guests to the hotel and casino with dazzling, colorful light shows. This project also marks another successful project partnering with YESCO.”

Gaming and Hospitality

In environments with bright lights, noisy slot machines, whirling roulette tables, and action-happy players, owners and advertisers in the gaming and live-event industries know that it takes cutting-edge digital signage to stand out.

It’s important to grab and hold the attention of players and customers. LED display technology does just that, from  exterior screens with dynamic video displays that act as portals for pedestrians or state-of-the-art venues featuring indoor concerts, comedy shows, prize fighting, and other live entertainment.

Many casinos have evolved into multi-purpose destination venues containing not just gaming but also lodging, convention space, five-star restaurants, and live shows. These venues are doubling down on LED technology with crisp, high-resolution digital displays featuring entertainment, digital art, and in-house advertising. Often, these digital centerpieces enhance the mood with casino-themed content to engage guests and keep them fully immersed in the gaming experience.

Other uses include showing live sports and other entertainment videos for guests at bars and lounges. The possibilities are endless.
