Tysons corner Center - PenFed Plaza

SNA Displays enhanced Tysons Corner Center’s PenFed Plaza with a 3.9 mm EMPIRE™ Exterior LED video screen used for brand takeovers, special events, and numerous other activities within the plaza. Tysons Corner is a major economic and retail destination for Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The 1.8-million-square-foot premier shopping center is managed by Macerich, a leading owner, operator, and developer of major retail properties in top markets.

PenFed Plaza was designed to be a unique outdoor civic space with stores and restaurants that also holds events such as 5K races, grand openings, and brand launches. The large-format LED video display, which overlooks the outdoor plaza, measures 15’6” x 32’9” (1,216 x 2,560 pixels) and processes just over 3.1 million pixels.

The plaza’s name comes from the Pentagon Federal Credit Union, which holds exclusive branding and sponsorship rights across the Tysons Corner Center campus. Events at PenFed Plaza routinely attract thousands of attendees from the local community and around the world.

SNA Displays worked with Macerich previously to build a large outdoor video board for the Tysons Corner Center parking garage façade.
