A Turn To Digital
SNA Displays recently completed a project consisting of a trio of rotating interior LED displays for a group of shopping malls located in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Owned and operated by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT), the malls include Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Willow Grove Park Mall in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; and Plymouth Meeting Mall in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
A Multimedia Retail Experience
For these projects, SNA Displays provided three identical dual-faced LED screens built with Sansi diodes. Each display has a 6 mm pitch and measures approximately 17’ high by 13’ wide with a resolution of 880 x 640 pixels. In addition, each display is equipped with rotators that spin 359 degrees before seamlessly changing and going the opposite direction. They also feature seven embedded high-quality speakers and a live input panel, which can be used during live events at each mall offering both audio and visual elements providing shoppers with a full multimedia experience.
These displays will be used to announce sales events by tenant stores, advertisements, and more.
Design & Management
Owner's consultant Sensory Interactive oversaw design, technology selection, bidding, and project management for the display network. Following a comprehensive evaluation process, Sensory Interactive selected SNA Displays for the project as we were able to adapt to the demanding project requirements and deliver displays with the remarkable resolution and build quality required for this project.
Sensory Interactive also selected and deployed the displays’ content management system. The system's web-based interface can control all three of the network’s displays individually or simultaneously, and users can update or reschedule content from any location with a WiFi connection. In addition to displaying high-quality image and video content, the system has the ability to present real-time brand messaging, stream live events, and interact with users via text-to-screen, live polls, and mobile games.
Project Partners
SNA Displays also partnered with Orndorf & Associates, Inc. for structural engineering services, Dynapac Rotating Co.for rotator assembly, and South Shore Sign Company for installation services.
