427 7th Ave., Penn Plaza
Penn Plaza, the office, entertainment and hotel district near Penn Station, is the site of several new S|Video™ LED displays manufactured by S|N|A. The displays, located at 427 7th Avenue at the intersection of 33rd Street and 7th Avenue, are directly across from Madison Square Garden.
The display system includes over 1600 square feet of LED and more than 1.5 million pixels.
Vibrant, High-Resolution LED Technology
The location features three high-resolution 10 mm pixel pitch S|Video™ displays. The large wall-mounted LED screen is 30'9" tall by 34'8" wide and has a resolution of 936 x 1080 pixels.
The project also includes two roof-mounted LED video displays perpendicular to each other. They meet at a tight custom corner, allowing for virtually seamless content and integration. The north-facing display is 10'8" tall by 19'8" wide and has a resolution of 324 x 600 pixels. The west-facing display is 10'8" tall by 35'5" wide with a resolution of 324 x 1080 pixels.
Surface-Mount Device (SMD)
All S|Video™ screens in Penn Plaza employ surface-mount device (SMD) technology, where the LEDs in each pixel are packaged together, allowing for crisp, clear imagery and a widened viewing experience.
Advertising for the display system is currently managed by Clear Channel. The screens face both north and west, offering the area's high concentration of pedestrian traffic a variety of signs and angles to view the advertising content.
