Montclair Place

SNA Displays manufactured a two-sided digital sign for Montclair Place, a 1.2-million-square-foot indoor shopping center in Montclair, California, east of Los Angeles along US 10. Each side of the EMPIRE™ LED, which is SNA Displays’ key series of exterior LED products, is approximately 47 feet high by 24 feet wide (900 pixels by 460 pixels). This makes it a total of 2,282 square feet of digital advertising signage, in this case used for mall promotional imagery.

CREO Industrial Arts designed and built this outdoor pylon using 16 mm pixel pitch LED technology from SNA Displays. Stellar Installations installed the digital LED display, which has a total of 828,000 pixels and replaces the old static sign that stood at Montclair Place, previously known as Montclair Plaza, for 30 years.

The LED screen portion of the pylon is mounted on a steel tube subframe and has an inverted 16x9 aspect ratio. It sits atop a painted aluminum panel with white acrylic channel letter branding, internally illuminated by LED lights. Below that is a column of painted aluminum panels angled to create a large, 3D, ribbed texture. The pylon foundation is an exposed concrete topping slab with a brushed finish. The entire pylon is 95 feet tall.
