Florida A&M Bragg Memorial Stadium Digital Refresh

SNA Displays gave Bragg Memorial Stadium, the 20,000-seat home to the Division I Florida A&M University Rattlers football program, a video technology facelift in collaboration with Anthony James Partners (AJP). The digital signage upgrades include a new endzone videoboard, four field-level video displays, a 182’ LED ribbon, and new scoring and timing equipment.

FAMU Bragg Stadium Display Summary

Display
Main LED Video Scoreboard 10 mm EMPIRE™ Exterior 33’1” x 75’7” 1,008 x 2,204
Field-Level LED Display (4) 10 mm EMPIRE™ Exterior 3’11” x 23’1" 120 x 704
Fieldhouse LED Ribbon 10 mm EMPIRE™ Exterior 3’11” x 181’8” 120 x 5,536

AJP led the stadium signage refresh as owner-representative and technology consultant to FAMU, selecting SNA Displays to provide EMPIRE™ Exterior display technology. All of the LED displays employ a 10 mm pixel pitch.

The LED video scoreboard, located behind the north endzone of Ken Riley Field, measures 33 feet high by 77 feet wide (1,008 x 2,304 pixels). As part of the project, SNA Displays and Bumgarner Construction disassembled and removed an existing steel structure used for static signage, constructing a new three-pole pylon display structure for the main videoboard. Phoenix Signs supplied static signage, channel letters, and decorative cladding.

SNA Displays also provided a ticker-style LED board mounted to the façade of the Galimore-Powell Fieldhouse, behind the south endzone. The LED ribbon board is 4' x 182' (120 x 5,536 pixels) and is primarily used for score, time, and game statistics.

Finally, in each corner of the field is a 4' x 23' (120 x 704 pixels) field-level LED videoboard.
