Emerson Automation Solutions Retrofits LCDs and Projection with Interactive LED Video

Global technology, software, and engineering leader Emerson Automation Solutions added two experiential LED display systems from SNA Displays’ BRILLIANT™ Interior product series to its Rogerdale facility in west Houston. The displays serve as high-tech, interactive digital showcases for customers and other visitors.

IMMERSIVE THEATER

The first LED display system replaced aging LCDs in the building’s Immersive Theater and comprises three adjacent video walls set at 90-degree angles to create a highly immersive viewer experience. The 7-foot-tall screens wrap around the room for approximately 31 feet 6 inches. With a resolution of 2,160 x 9,216, the interactive video walls include just under 20 million total pixels. Furthermore, each BRILLIANT™ Interior LED display uses an extremely tight 1 mm pixel pitch for ultra-high resolution.

The Immersive Theater also features an interactive touch-panel table equipped with MultiTaction software that lets users share presentations to the LED screens.

SOLUTIONS CENTER

The second direct-view LED replaced a video wall of aging 70-inch rear-screen-projection monitors in Emerson’s Solutions Center. Located next to the Immersive Theater, the digital display is 7'4" tall and 26’3” long and has a slight concave curve. The 1.2 mm BRILLIANT™ Interior display is powered by VuWall and a Crestron control system, has a resolution of 1,800 x 6,400, and contains more than 11.5 million pixels.

Both of Emerson’s retrofitted LED display systems include PTZ HD cameras and Cisco video teleconference capabilities.

AVI Systems designed and managed installation of the high-end video display systems. RP Visual Solutions provided mounting systems for the project, including custom floor stands for both display systems.
