Boston District Hall
Boston has a new look, thanks to renovations at Boston's District Hall, including several new vibrant LED video screens manufactured by SNA.
District Hall is the result of a one-of-a-kind public-private collaborative and part of the City of Boston's Innovation District. Included in the design of the hall was a unique exterior LED display system.
The displays are located at the intersection of Seaport Boulevard and Northern Avenue.
Vibrant LED Video Display
The District Hall project includes two separate high-resolution 12 mm pixel pitch displays that face Seaport Boulevard. Each of the wall-mounted LED screens is 22'10" tall by 12'5" wide. The resolution for each face is 580 pixels high x 315 pixels wide, totaling more than 365,000 LEDs in the project.
Surface-Mount Device (SMD)
The LED screens employ surface-mount device (SMD) technology, where the LEDs in each pixel are packaged together, allowing for crisp, clear imagery and a widened viewing experience.
Illuminated Accent Tubes
Custom-designed and manufactured stainless steel tubes were installed around the outside of the large LED screens. These tubes are illuminated with RBG Color Kinetics lights which are synchronized with the content displayed on the screens.
