Video Scoreboard for Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium
SNA Displays worked with dB Integrations to supply a video scoreboard for the American Legion World Series hosted at Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium located in Shelby, North Carolina. Keeter Stadium has been the permanent home of the American Legion Baseball World Series, a six-day youth tournament held every August and one of four national world series in the country, since 2011.
The video scoreboard is made from SNA Displays’ 12 mm EMPIRE™ Exterior LED video technology and measures 15’ tall x 36’6” wide (380 x 1,005 pixels). Located in right field, the screen is used for sponsorships, replay footage, and player highlights. The display system includes fixed digit LED and channel lettering honoring outfield sponsors Charles and Betty Carrigan.
Built in 1976, Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium is owned by the city of Shelby and home of the Shelby American Legion Post 82 baseball team in addition to hosting the American Legion Baseball World Series. The venue accommodates approximately 8,000 with standing room and, in addition to minor league baseball, hosts numerous other community events such as concerts, military appreciation, other baseball games such as Wake Forest vs Appalachian State, and various festivals.
