SNA Displays Revitalizes the Underground Garage with LED Technology
SNA Displays manufactured a large-format exterior LED display that wraps around the Underground Garage at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr Drive SW and Central Avenue in downtown Atlanta. The two-screen, custom-designed display system, which faces the Fulton County Courthouse, comes from SNA Displays’ line of EMPIRE™ products.
Both faces of the digital display are 16'6" high by 29'5" wide for a total of just under 1,000 square feet. The LED screen uses an 8 mm pixel pitch, meaning the distance between the center of adjacent pixels is .31 inches, and the system includes 1.4 million pixels. Both the southwest- and southeast-facing sides integrate with LED kinetic strips for an enhanced visual experience.
DeNyse Signs installed the display and Orange Barrel Media (OBM), a leader in unique outdoor media, managed the overall project. SNA Displays also collaborated with OBM on Peachtree Center North, which, along with 75 MLK, is part of Atlanta’s art and entertainment initiative.
OBM recently announced the launch of this new digital artwork display as part of a program to modernize the Atlanta Arts & Entertainment District.
