ARLINGTON, VA—The installation of a large LED screen inside the CEB Tower in Arlington, Virginia, was recently completed by Sansi North America (SNA) Displays, a leading manufacturer of custom LED display and lighting solutions.
The project site is part of a new mixed-use development by JBG Smith known as Central Place, located at 1201 Wilson Blvd. The development consists of several buildings, including a residential tower, plaza, and the 31-story CEB Tower, which serves as the headquarters of CEB, Inc.
Acting as the centerpiece of the new building’s lobby, the 714-square-foot display envelops the elevator shaft façade in its entirety. The display incorporates custom-designed panels that minimize the visual seam typically seen with 90-degree corners. Measuring 19 feet high by 38 feet wide, this 4 mm Bold Interior LED display contains over 4 million pixels and includes a sound system that allows content designers to incorporate audio effects and music.
“This display is absolutely stunning,” said Matthew Shubeck, a project manager for SNA Displays. “As the dominating feature of the tower’s lobby, the entire ambiance of this public space can be completely transformed by simply changing the display’s content.”
Owner/developer consultant Sensory Interactive oversaw design, technology selection, bidding, and project management for the display. Following a comprehensive evaluation process, Sensory Interactive selected SNA Displays for the project based on the company’s ability to adapt to the demanding project requirements and deliver displays with the remarkable resolution and build quality demanded by the this world-class office environment.
SNA Displays also employed Jack Stone Signs to assist with the display installation.
