TORONTO—The Rogers Centre, home to MLB’s Toronto Blue Jays, added a new LED ribbon prior to the 2023 home opener. Opened in 1989, the ballpark is a multi-purpose stadium with a retractable roof. With a 46,000-seat capacity post-renovation, the entertainment venue primarily hosts sporting events but also accommodates conventions, circuses, pro-wrestling, concerts, monster truck shows, and more.

Owner-representative Anthony James Partners (AJP) provided design and procurement services, selecting SNA Displays’ 16 millimeter EMPIRE™ Exterior video display technology for the renovation.
The curved, 124-foot-long (60 x 2,360 pixels) LED ribbon display is located in left-field homerun territory at the 200 level. The ribbon board is part of the stadium’s new “Outfield District” and allows for ease of access with minimal tools.
“Engaging spectators is a sporting venue’s main priority and we are thrilled to be a part of that for the Rogers Centre,” said AJ Faxel, director of sports and live events for SNA Displays. “Since the stadium was built two and a half decades ago, the Rogers Centre has continued to improve its fan experience through renovations and digital signage improvements.”
Ontario-based Trade Sync provided sign installation services.
