KNOXVILLE, TN—SNA Displays expanded its Client Service Group, an expert team of technical and IT professionals, with the hire of Audio-Visual Systems Engineer Steven Massey. In addition to providing internal Systems support, Massey will be primarily focused on the continued growth and development of the company’s Client Service Group initiatives.
Previously, Massey has worked as a field service engineer, laser technician, and field technician. He also served as an electronics technician with the US Coast Guard.
“Steven’s diverse electronics and IT systems experience was a major factor in bringing him on board,” said Stew Ives, senior director of systems for SNA Displays. “His leadership capabilities and exceptional communication skills make him an invaluable addition to the Systems team.”
Massey will be working out of the company’s Knoxville, Tennessee, office where he’ll help refine the content management solutions available to clients and channel partners. Much of Massey’s roll will involve continued research and testing to maintain SNA Displays’ technological edge within its content management systems.
“As a polished veteran of the systems engineering world, with great technical skills and customer service experience, Steven really had the skills we needed to help us take our customer-facing solutions to the next level,” said Pat Green, vice president of systems at SNA Displays. “The language of systems engineering is Greek to a lot of clients and end-users, so having another team member who speaks this language but can also translate it is crucial to the mission of our Client Services Group.”
Massey said he sees his new role as a natural evolution of his background and skillsets.
“I was drawn to SNA because of the marriage of technology, creativity, and quality I saw throughout the company’s portfolio,” Massey said. “I come with an extensive and diverse background in complex control systems commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair. I also bring a personal standard of excellence that I believe will mesh perfectly with the company’s culture and commitment to its customers.”
Massey, who used to be a full-time professional musician, says he still plays occasionally as “an expensive hobby.”
