AUSTIN, TX––Global architecture, design, and planning firm Gensler selected a unique combination of LED video technology from SNA Displays to create the centerpiece of its Austin office lobby. The one-of-a-kind digital lobby display combines BRILLIANT Interior LED video with THRUMEDIA™ technology, both manufactured and installed by SNA Displays.

THRUMEDIA is SNA Displays’ transparent video product line that includes an array of pixel pitch and spacing options to create a wide range of “see-through” LED video displays via creative, non-traditional layouts. These thin, low-profile LED sticks are usually installed in front of building windows to allow people inside the building to see outside while creating a transparent image for the external viewer.
The lobby video wall is approximately 13 feet high and 26 feet wide and just over 360 square feet. The BRILLIANT Interior part of the direct-view LED screen uses a narrow pixel pitch of 1.92 mm and contains more than 5.8 million pixels at a resolution of 1,404 pixels high by 4,160 pixels wide.
SNA Displays seamlessly integrated two distinct products with normally dissimilar applications by layering 30 horizontal THRUMEDIA strips above the BRILLIANT Interior LED screen, creating a gradient effect.
Gensler will feature a combination of portfolio work, culture-related content, ambient nature content and locally sourced creative content from Austin artists and students.
