SNA Team Gets the Most Out of DSE Show

SNA Displays showed up in force to attend Digital Signage Experience (DSE) 2024, which occurred December 7-10 in Las Vegas, and all accounts of the event were overwhelmingly positive. The good folks at DSE do such a great job organizing and promoting this industry get-together, managing to pack in educational seminars, product demonstrations, and professional networking opportunities in a short amount of time, making it a very worthwhile event for those in our industry.

At the DSE Mixer on Sunday night, industry professionals from a wide range of backgrounds enjoyed some time before the exhibit floor opened to catch up or meet for the first time. We were proud sponsors of the event and greatly appreciate the DSE organizers for making intentional, and fun, opportunities to expand our professional networks as we see old friends and make new ones.

The next morning, Team SNA celebrated the holiday spirit by showing up on the exhibit floor all wearing appropriately obnoxious SNA ugly sweaters The compliments for our dubious fashion sense rolled in throughout the day, proving you can have fun while you’re working.

Monday was full of activities, starting with officially opening up our booth to the conference attendees. We showcased a 1.2 mm interior screen, a three-sided 1.9 mm column display, and samples of our sub-1.0 mm technology with various coatings. But of course, you can’t show off your product without great content. We owe a huge thanks to content creators Render Impact, leftchannel, and d’strict for allowing us to showcase their amazing digital art. We had many good conversations in the booth as our staff did their best to talk to everyone who stopped by. With lots of traffic and some great leads for future collaborations, it’s safe to say our presence on the floor was a great success.

At mid-morning, show visitors enjoyed an important educational presentation by our own Stew Ives on DSE’s keynote stage: Redundancy & Failover in Digital Signage Applications. Using his extensive knowledge and experience, Ives brought to light many key, and sometimes overlooked, considerations necessary when designing an LED installation. Hit me up if you’d like to learn more or see a copy of his presentation.

As day turned to evening, conference attendees geared up for the one and only DIZZIEs, the illustrious DSE awards and possibly the most anticipated event of the show. With DIZZIEs in thirteen categories, there were numerous amazing projects highlighted throughout the evening. The stunning work we witnessed during each nomination montage is a testament to the wealth of creative talent and craftsmanship in our industry and we were honored to walk away with three trophies of our own amidst stiff competition. Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas won for best retail, TSX Broadway Video Experience in New York won for best venue, and Salesforce Tower Sydney won for best corporate environment.

After the awards show, we continued the party at a local brewery where we wiled the night away enjoying craft beer, tacos, and great conversations. Much appreciation to Experience United Social Club (XUSC) for organizing Holiday Hops, and again we were proud to sponsor.

Another major highlight after we packed up our booth on Tuesday was our Team SNA dinner and playtime. It was an amazing way to celebrate one of our most successful years to date and see colleagues from other offices in person. Nothing says team building like watching the president of your company strap himself into a Velcro suit and launch himself at a wall!

DSE 2025 will be held in San Diego and looks to be another great opportunity to meet face-to-face with industry leaders. If you have the opportunity, it’ll be well worth your time to check it out.
