SNA Displays Helps out Polish Restaurant in Brooklyn

SNA Displays was very pleased to help out a local favorite with a modest donation this past weekend. Dziupla — pronounced jou-pla — is a wonderful restaurant in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn that specializes in traditional Polish fare with a modern American twist. It’s owned and operated by chef Kris Drzewiecki.

Last Saturday, our president, Dennis Hickey, along with Gerard Shallo, senior director of marketing, presented the check to Drzewiecki, who said the business had been struggling since the COVID-19 outbreak began and residents were largely staying at home. The restaurant, like many around the country, has operated on a takeout-only basis for several weeks. Both Dennis and Gerard reside in Brooklyn.

“I really love the restaurant, and I’m so happy we could help out even a little,” Dennis said. “I hate to see our local businesses here and across the country struggle through this difficult time. But today, we got to see a long line outside Dziupla, and it was really great to see.”

Dziupla used the donation to generate some activity by cooking and distributing food to locals that stopped by.

“This was definitely a win-win for everyone, including us. And I definitely recommend anyone in the area to stop by and try out the wonderful food at Dziupla.”

Dziupla is located at 194 Bedford Ave in Brooklyn. Visit their website at dziuplabrooklyn.com.
