SNA Displays is a longtime sponsor and partner of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD), a non-profit, multidisciplinary community of professionals who plan, design, and build experiences that connect people to place. This year marks SEGD’s 50th anniversary and we’re proud to be a sponsor for the 2023 SEGD Conference Experience taking place August 23-26 in Washington, DC.
The 50th anniversary conference gathers interdisciplinary thought leaders to “share inspiration, strategies and ideas designed to enhance the human experience.” The four-day event will offer interactive workshops, tours, networking opportunities, and more.
SNA Displays has had a longstanding relationship with SEGD, having sponsored many learning and growth opportunities at various SEGD conferences and events. In 2015, SNA Displays’ Jason Helton and Mitch Leathers were instrumental in starting SEGD’s Austin chapter, after which they co-chaired for three years. This year, SNA Displays will sponsor the Designer Improv session.
Designer Improv – 2023 SEGD Conference Experience
SEGD’s beloved ‘Design Improv’ is back with a focus on sustainability and creative re-use. A great opportunity for designers from all levels and backgrounds to get their creative juices flowing, this fast-paced mini-design challenge is always inspiring, frequently rambunctious, and sometimes downright outrageous. Participants will be assigned to ad-hoc teams – who will collaborate on a design concept using only supplied materials and their wits – and then will share their concept with the group, and judges.
