Join Us At InfoComm 2019!

After five months in the digital display industry, I’m finally getting around to my first entry on our Limelight blog. Previously having been with a healthcare communications company, my time so far with SNA Displays has been a tremendous learning experience, and I’ve met lots of great people, both internally and in the industry, along the way.

Some of the most helpful learning opportunities I’ve been able to experience have been industry conferences and events, which have yielded some great insight especially when you’re able to see the full industry in context. Next week I’ll be attending one of the industry’s most attended and well-known conferences, InfoComm, which I’m really excited about.

A huge difference between my previous work life (healthcare communications) and my current one (digital display technology) is that when communications technology is working within a hospital it isn’t particularly noticeable. When something just works it doesn’t stand out – it just works. This is probably true in most industries. But in the digital display industry, the desire to be noticed is typically an important precursor to a customer reaching out. Want to stand out? Go digital. Have a message to share? That’s where we come in.

Of course, I’ve learned that SNA Displays’ success is much more than just having a good digital display product to offer but standing out is something most of our potential and current clients desire very much.

InfoComm is the largest audiovisual conference in the United States, and I’m very much looking forward to attending my first one in Orlando. Some veterans of past InfoComm events have shared their experiences with me, setting my expectation to be overwhelmed. It’s easy to feel that way at an event of this size, but I plan to chunk it all down a bit and start small, taking in the various sectors related to our space. From there comes my main goal for InfoComm, which is continuing my education of the ancillary technology to the displays themselves such as content management systems, installation and mounting providers, and content creators and designers. There’s such a story to be told when the optimal display is paired with the right CMS running the perfect content to carry the message.

The results, I’ve noticed, can be breathtaking.

SNA Displays is proud to be represented in two of our partners’ booths this year at InfoComm. We will have a display as well as members of the SNA team in the RP Visual Solutions booth. 3413. Additionally, our products and staff will be represented in the Aurora Multimedia booth, 1931. Both are in the Orlando Conference Center’s West Hall.

We encourage you to stop by and see us in Orlando, meet with our team, and discuss the SNA Displays mission to work with our clients to help make their dreams live digitally.
