We’ve spent a good deal of time celebrating the above LED display projects, all of which feature complex curves. Some are outdoor, some indoor, some convex, some concave — and for many reasons, they’ve all made their mark on our industry. For one thing, they’re enormous canvases that are well integrated into their spaces, and some of them are home to the most buzzworthy anamorphic creatives we’ve seen. Fortunately, our engineers and SNAPros™ were able to influence the design of some of these trendsetting displays from 90-degree edges to seamless curves!
As you know, it’s become a common practice to design curves into LED display applications, and not just for large or high-profile ones. We’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in many such projects and wanted to share a few. If you or your clients could benefit from a discussion about the design considerations, installation, and impacts of curved video surfaces, give us a shout.
We’ve Got Curves
An 85-foot, curved display lovingly known as “Big Bertha” greets visitors at Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, MO, on their journey to learn about and celebrate wildlife conservation.
This gracefully curving screen has become a landmark to those traveling along Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles. It is highly valued by brands and advertisers looking to gain visibility in the booming market.
This massive 95-foot video wall at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, OK, enjoys a pair of concave curves that envelope patrons and bettors, providing an engaging space and ample room for split-screen live feeds and other entertaining content.
Located at the corner of Broad and High streets in downtown Columbus, OH, this pair of convex video boards integrate well with building architecture and provide enticing DOOH platforms.
Target Times Square’s 80-foot-tall LED spectacular, which magnificently reinforces the mega-brand, has a really tight radius that required close coordination between onsite techs and structural engineers.
This skyscraper’s Customer Experience Room features a 28-foot concave screen with a 1.6 mm pixel pitch that provides an immersive space for visitors – indicative of Salesforce’s emphasis on improving experience through dynamic LED video.
