One of our favorite end-of-year traditions is to look back at the previous 12 months and take stock of some of the moments that stand out in our growth and development as a leading company in the digital signage and audio-video spaces. It’s a chance to reflect and give thanks, but it also tends to challenge us to raise the bar for the next twelve! 2024 was a great year for SNA Displays — one of our best! — and we have lots of momentum as we begin to tackle what 2025 has to offer. Enjoy some highlights, and THANK YOU to all of the SNA Family, our wonderful partners, and our vendors for helping us succeed.
ASTRO™ BRIGHTNESS MANAGEMENT
Based on client feedback and analysis of real projects in the wild, our Products & Solutions team developed a proprietary brightness management suite known as ASTRO™, a holistic toolset that uses a number of metrics including astronomical data to provide custom control features and empower display operators to make better choices about brightness. Some users were able to take advantage of the ASTRO™ beta version, and general release for all new and existing clients is set for 2025. We’re very excited for our clients to reap the benefits of this new toolset.
Eye Catchers
Whether it was manufacturing and installing new LED screens, putting the finishing touches on existing projects, or adding more digital signage for existing clients, SNA Displays delivered some truly WOW-worthy projects in just about every sector. In sports and live events, we did a little of everything. Our presence in pro-sports venues, mixed-use arenas, NCAA campuses, massive independent school districts, and gaming venues all grew this year with some exciting announcements soon to come.
People First
“People first” is one of our core values, and the reason why we’re able to do what we do. We often brag about our people and it’s no wonder why. We have some of the best in the business and we loving adding more to the family. Below are some of our newest team members.
We also established a more meaningful workflow for some of our staff by creating the Products & Solutions Team, which is a reorganized and reimagined version of what was previously known as our Systems Team. More on that soon!
And of course because we love to share not only the work our staff performs but also their backgrounds, interests, and thoughts on the industry, we added a few more Q&As. Visit Limelight: The SNA Blog to catch up on our employee spotlights.
industry Involvement
It seemed like some of our folks were always on the road, or racking up those airline miles. We had a presence at the big digital signage tradeshows (InfoComm, Digital Signage Experience, DPAA Global Summit, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), NAB). We also visited numerous integrator events and shows for sectors such as themed entertainment (TEA Inspire, IAAPA), transportation (AAAE, ACI-NA, AAC), gaming (IGA), space (Space Symposium), experience design (SEGD Conference), and public art (CODASummit) – to name a few!
Awards
Speaking of digital signage trade shows, we were honored to accept several awards this year. At ISE 2024, SNA Displays took home the Digital Signage Award for most Innovative and Impactful Digital Out of Home Advertising (TSX Broadway). We’re eagerly anticipating the Digital Signage Award show at ISE 2025 as the finalists include five SNA Displays’ nominations.
Digital Signage Experience (DSE) 2024 also included some big wins for SNA Displays. This year, three SNA Displays projects were selected as category winners. TSX Broadway Video Experience won the DIZZIE for best venue, Salesforce Tower Sydney won for best corporate environment, and Miracle Mile Shops won for best retail environment.
Continuing Education
This year, we expanded educational opportunities for clients, partners, and end-users in and around digital signage marketplace across North America. This year, our series of co-hosted seminars included industry professionals who joined us in Toronto, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland. The events, titled Pixels To Processing: Specifying a World-Class Display Solution, earned attendees three Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credits. The seminars were a great opportunity to share industry knowledge, make professional connections, and have fun! Thanks to Analog Way and rp Visual Solutions for co-hosting. Stay tuned for information about the North American markets Pixels To Processing will be visiting in 2025. To express interest in P2P seminars, contact us here.
Pop Up Concerts at TSX Broadway
TSX Broadway continues to deliver high-energy live entertainment right in the heart of Times Square. Some of the most notable concerts included Jung Kook, Shakira, Charlie XCX and a Fortnite takeover featuring Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice. TSX Broadway also celebrated another sports first (having previously broadcast the biggest game in the NFL) with the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics kicking off the first NBA Finals broadcast live from Times Square. Thousands of fans gathered to toast to the finals right in front of the massive screen, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The live broadcast included performances from Metro Boomin, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Quavo, and Swae Lee.
In Case You Missed It
Limelight: The SNA Blog continued to be a useful platform to pursue and share with the world our core values: communicate, have fun, never stop learning, do what you do best, total project satisfaction, and people first. Here are a few of our favorites:
Highlighting Content Creators
We’re proud to work with some incredibly talented content creators in the digital signage space. To share the amazing work some of these digital art studios have done (both with us and on other projects), we created the Creator Q&A with SNA Displays series. We hope you enjoy these profile pieces as we continue to make amazing digital experiences with some incredible artists.
Roll Camera
It’s tough to keep up with all of the wonderful projects our team is a part of throughout the year. For as many as we can, we love to share beautiful photos and video on our social media profiles (you are following us on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, right?). Here are a couple examples where we were able to sit down with our clients and the SNA Team for in depth conversations about two outstanding installation sites: Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Miracle Mile Shops.
Visit our Vimeo or YouTube pages to see more video about some of our projects and people.
Weathering the Storm
Since we’re talking about the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Entry Experience, you may have heard about a nasty storm that passed through Florida back in October. While the Kennedy Entry Experience LED spectacular was specifically designed to withstand hurricane-force winds (even earning an engineering award), this event was its first major test. We’re glad to say that our LED spectacular and LED kiosks at the visitor center made it through with flying colors. Please enjoy these articles covering Hurricane Milton, the LED kiosks’ improvement to the park, and the award-winning engineering behind the Entry Experience.
Well, that covers quite a bit of our 2024 activities. Here’s to bigger and better in 2025!
